Terms of Use - Coffee Ping
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Coffee Ping mobile application (the "App") operated by Coffee Ping ("Coffee Ping", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the App, you confirm that:
- You have read and understood these Terms.
- You agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
- You are legally able to enter into a binding agreement.
If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use the App.
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account session on your device.
- Ensuring the information you provide is accurate.
- All activity that occurs through your account.
You may not transfer your account to another person.
3. Service Description
Coffee Ping helps users:
- Become visible for a limited period.
- Discover and coordinate with nearby users.
- Exchange temporary coordination messages.
- Suggest meeting spots.
The App is intended for social coordination. It is not an emergency service and does not guarantee outcomes.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, coerce, stalk, or abuse others.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent identity.
- Use hateful, violent, sexually exploitative, or illegal content.
- Attempt scams, fraud, or payment solicitation.
- Probe, disrupt, or misuse the App or its infrastructure.
- Circumvent blocks, moderation decisions, or safety controls.
We may remove content, limit features, suspend, or terminate accounts for violations.
5. User Content and Messages
You are responsible for profile names, messages, and other content you submit.
By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the App.
We may use automated and manual moderation workflows to enforce safety policies.
6. Safety Features and Reporting
The App includes safety controls, including:
- Blocking users
- Reporting users
- Reporting app or safety concerns
Submitting a report does not guarantee a specific outcome. We review reports and may act under these Terms and applicable law.
7. Location and Visibility
When you choose to be visible, the App uses location data to support nearby matching and meeting suggestions. You can end visibility at any time through in-app controls.

8. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by the Privacy Policy. If these Terms conflict with the Privacy Policy on a privacy-specific issue, the Privacy Policy controls for that issue.
9. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party providers (for example, hosting, notifications, place lookup, and moderation). We are not responsible for outages or service failures caused by third-party systems outside our control.
10. Service Availability and Changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee:
- Any match, meetup, or social outcome.
- User behavior or safety outcomes from interactions.
- Continuous, fault-free operation.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coffee Ping and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the App.
If liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability (or USD $0 if you paid nothing).
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Coffee Ping and its affiliates from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from:
- Your use of the App
- Your content
- Your violation of these Terms or applicable law
14. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created safety risks, or exposed the service to legal or security risk.
Provisions that by nature should survive termination remain in effect, including safety, liability, and dispute-related provisions.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the dates above and publish the revised Terms through our normal channels.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless applicable local law requires otherwise.
